Consultations

What Happens At A Consultation?

It is an opportunity for you to find out about electrolysis and for you to ask questions.

You will be welcomed to the clinic and we will get to know each other.

Your contact details will be recorded.

You supply details of your medical history.

You provide your doctor / surgeon / consultant's contact details.

The electrolysis procedure will be explained.

We talk about which methods of hair removal you are using and have used in the past.

I will assess your skin and your hair growth.

The information you provided will be reviewed.

A decision will be made about your suitability to have electrolysis.

If you are suitable to have electrolysis, a treatment plan will be created.

A short treatment will take place to see how your skin reacts and so you can experience what the electrolysis procedure involves.

Aftercare advice will be given and aftercare products will be supplied.

(Products can also be purchased from the clinic.)

The same procedure applies for blemish removal, whereby the treatment and your medical history is discussed, a plan is created and, where applicable, a short treatment is carried out on the same day.

Please note: for medical reasons it may not be possible for the treatment to be carried out on the day or at all.

In relation to some ailments, written approval must be received from a medical professional (i.e. doctor / surgeon / consultant) before I may go ahead with the procedure.  A letter of approval will be provided for you to give to your medical professional.
